Kitchen Garden Plant Centre is a small family business. Growing is completed on the edge of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire by Neil Jones and Niamh Jones.

All photographic imagery used on this website is the property of the Kitchen Garden Plant Centre. All images used are of plants grown by Kitchen Garden Plant Centre and of horticultural displays created by Kitchen Garden Plant Centre.

The images used on the product pages are representations of the plants for sale. The images used represent the product type only. Please see the pot sizes stated to represent the general size of plant for sale.

Order Placement

Once you have selected your plants and placed your order you will receive a confirmation email of your order. This is a confirmation of your request and does not form a contract between us. In the unlikely event, we need to cancel your order or make amendments, we will only do so with your prior knowledge and agreement. We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided by the courts of England and Wales.

The above policies do not affect your statutory rights.

Should you make a mistake please contact us immediately so that we can assist in correcting this prior to dispatch.

Delivery is to England, Wales, Scotland incl. Highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands.

Orders to the following postcodes are typically accepted for delivery via Royal Mail: AB37-AB38, AB44-AB45, AB53-AB56, CA18-CA27, HS1-HS9, IM, IV14-IV28, IV30-IV32, IV36, IV40-IV56, IV7, IV9-IV12, KA27-KA28, KW, LA15-LA23, PA20-PA20, PA21-PA38, PA41-PA41, PA42-PA49, PA60, PA6-PA78, PA80-PA88, PH17-PH26, PH30-PH44, PH49-PH50, TR21-TR25, ZE.

We are unable to deliver to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

Pricing

Herbs typically are VAT exempt and the size range offered by Kitchen Garden Plant Centre is below the size where VAT is chargeable.

Shipping charges quoted are representative of typical costs incurred for delivery and packaging, inclusive of VAT.

Prices listed on our website are subject to change without prior notice.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are sold excluding V.A.T.  Should any V.A.T be required, this would be paid on the price of the plant/goods.  Gift vouchers will be time-limited for redemption. Any requests for redemption of vouchers after the expiration date will be at the discretion of Kitchen Garden Plant Centre.

Payment Method

Card payments are processed via Paypal or Stripe. Please see Paypal.com and Stripe.com for policy information.

Paypal and Stripe do not share your card details with Kitchen Garden Plant Centre.

Should we need to cancel your order, for any reason, we would request a refund via Stripe or Paypal. We would advise you of this refund. Stripe and PayPal refunds may take up to 10 days to credit your account from the date of refund request.

Deliveries

Our carriers UPS collect from us on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on typically a next-day delivery basis. Due to order volumes in peak times please allow 10 days for receipt of your order.  We occasionally send by Royal Mail to locations where delivery costs vastly exceed our P&P costs (typically this is the Scottish Highlands, Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man & the Channel Islands.

We will ship to the shipping address provided at checkout addresses (see exclusion list above). Our carrier will be provided with the email address and phone number provided by you at checkout (See privacy policy).

We do not require a signature at delivery and we will forward your special instruction requests to the carrier, however, we cannot guarantee they will always do so.

Our carrier may request you collect your item from an access point following the initial delivery attempt. The collection timescale is set by the carrier, however, we recommend you collect your order at the first opportunity to avoid unnecessary risk to the plants ordered.

Please note we will not be liable for any loss or damage occurring as a result of a special instruction being followed or if you are not available to receive your order on the first delivery attempt.

Packaging & Plant Health

We advise you to unpack your plants upon arrival and sit them in water to have a drink and recuperate from their journey.

At times your plants may arrive cut back, this will not harm the plant in any way and stimulates root and shoot growth and is a standard horticultural practice.

It is possible that compost can become displaced during shipping this is beyond our control and will not harm the plant. We will only sell plants with established root systems.

Our contract is completed once you are in receipt of your order and we therefore are not liable should a plant fail to thrive for any reason, such as over-watering; under-watering; right plant wrong place.

We are moving to recycled and recyclable materials for our plants and our packaging. Occasionally you may receive a black plant pot, these are old stocks which if not used would be unnecessarily disregarded to landfill waste before productive use. The majority of our plant pots are now grey. These grey pots are made from recycled materials, they are also recyclable, so too are our plant labels carrying the PET logo. We use biodegradable plant pot covers wrapped in cardboard to protect the plants.  Our packaging is cardboard and entirely recyclable. Please recycle and protect our environment.

Returns

Should you be dissatisfied with your order/delivery in any way we request you contact us by phone or email, within 24 hours of receipt of your order and provide photographs of the issue reported.  We cannot accept liability for issues reported more than 24 hours after the original delivery date.

You have the right to cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch. We cannot accept plant returns nor accept costs incurred by you should you decide to do so. In the unlikely event you wish to cancel your order after the plants have been packaged and/or collected by our delivery partner any return of the order will be at your own expense.
