Will it really happen this year
Kitchen Garden Plant Centre truly made its mark in the edible plant scene winning not only our first ever prestigious RHS Gold Medal
What a year we have had! 2019 showed the start of our fourth year on the nursery. Our beautiful daughter turned one just as we were in full swing of growing and selling and we really did get stuck into our first year of horticultural shows. Our new little helper had lots of fun helping us on the nursery. She was a little too good at emptying pots out, pulling at pretty flowers, organizing our pot labels and using our mock up show gardens as a little play area just for her, but it was really great to have the whole family involved and enjoying it.
We had some great feedback from the RHS judges in our first season of RHS shows which motivated us even more to improve our displays and it sure did show in our medal awards leaving the silver behind to move onwards and upwards to RHS Silver Gilt and Five Flower Awards and a Gold at Harrogate Flower Show.
In July at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park our garden was admired by Carol Klein who featured our Houttuynia cordata on BBC Gardeners World and Neil presented with Mark Diacono in the Dig in theatre.
Then August at RHS Garden Rosemoor not only did we achieve a five flower award, we were also awarded the Curators Choice, it was just getting better and better for us. 2019 truly was an amazing year and now we are wanting to surpass this in 2020. Just wait until you see what we have in store.
